High quality cooked ham and turkey breast withdrawn from the market due to Listeria risk: the affected lots

The Ministry of Health announced today the immediate recall from the refrigerated counters of supermarkets and grocery stores of two lots of high quality cooked ham and one lot of turkey breast due to a possible microbiological risk for consumers due to the possible presence of listeria in the two foods.

There are two recall notices published today, Wednesday 24 December, on the Ministry’s portal dedicated to safety notices and recalls of food products by operators. The subject of the recall is high quality cooked ham sold in trays of 120 grams each with the Lenti & Lode brand and the Gran roast turkey rump sold under the same brand in trays of 100 grams each.

In fact, these are packaged products distributed by the same company, Rugger srL with headquarters and factory in Santena, in the metropolitan city of Turin. As far as high quality cooked ham goes, they are two Lots affected by the recall, those with numbers 2541327 and 2541328 and a minimum shelf life or expiry date set for 3 January 2026. As regards the roast turkey breast, however, only one lot has been recalled from the market, the one with number 2541330 and a minimum shelf life set for another January 2026.

Lot of cracklings recalled from the market due to the presence of Listeria: the notice from the Ministry of Health

As explained by the two recall notices, both dated 22 December, the withdrawal from the market of the two foods was ordered by the same manufacturer as a precaution for the possible presence of Listeria Monocytogenes. For this reason, the two cured meats indicated above have already been withdrawn from the shops but for those who have already purchased the cooked ham and turkey breast with the batches subject to the recall, the invitation is not to consume them and to return the products to the point of purchase.
