Railway traffic at Porta Nuova station in Turin was interrupted from 6.20pm due to the occupation of some tracks by Pro-Palestine demonstrators. The demonstrators, at the culmination of a procession that wound through the historic center, entered the station complex by forcing the gate of a secondary entrance in Via Nizza. Gods were left on the sides of the trains graffiti and on one, in particular, the words ‘Free Gaza’ were painted in large letters, in red and green. At 7.40pm the RFI website warned that the intervention of the police it was finished and circulation was resuming.

The departing convoys have meanwhile accumulated delays of up to 75 minutes. Regional trains experienced route limitations and cancellations.
