“You must not allow yourself to scold my son, we are the Spadas.” And she slaps and kicks the teacher. Shock at the exit of a school on the Roman coast, where the other morning parents and teachers witnessed a full-blown “ambush” against a teacher. The one who hit her, first with offensive words and then leading to blows, was a mother linked to the Sinti clan. The events, which the police are working on to reconstruct, occurred on Tuesday just before lunch time. The teacher, having finished her work shift, was preparing to return home when she was approached by her student’s mother. Also in front of other teachers and parents, waiting to pick up their children before the bell rang, the woman began to rant against the teacher. “You shouldn’t have allowed yourself to scold my son,” she allegedly shouted. Then moving on to action: slaps to the face and kicks to the abdomen, according to what some witnesses reconstructed.

THE RESCUERS
The school secretary immediately took action to call for help. An ambulance from 118 was on site and provided first aid to the woman (who apparently had minor injuries) in a visible state of shock. The intervention of the police was also necessary, who listened to the teacher, while her mother had already left, taken away by her family. There is an ongoing investigation into the episode, which is subject to the utmost confidentiality. Regarding the incident, the school director, without denying it, takes refuge behind a blunt “no comment”, while implying that he has activated all the necessary procedures to inform the teaching offices and the competent school authorities.
