The fake kidnapping of Milena Santirocco, the debts and the possible accomplice: the fears told to an exorcist

“I just wanted to disappear” Milena Santirocco admitted to Caserta investigators after being found six days after disappearing. Everyone was looking for her, the dance and fitness teacher from Lanciano, from her relatives to her friends who have had no news of her since April 28th. That Sunday she had had lunch with her children and she had then headed to the lick of Torino di Sangro, for a fine as had happened on other occasions. From there, Repubblica reconstructs, she had also sent reassuring photos via chat, surrounded by those familiar places. Then she herself would have punctured the wheel of the car with a nail, she makes her phone disappear after closing her Facebook profile. And from that moment she disappears, arriving with makeshift means as far as Campania.

The attempted suicide

“The truth is that I thought about ending it,” he later explained to the prosecutor. The 54-year-old would have reached the Varicona oasis. She allegedly tried to dive into a pond, attempting to take her own life, but she couldn’t do it. She then showed up at a bar in Castel Volturno, with her clothes still wet. At that point she said she had been kidnapped by two hooded men who wanted to kill her. A version that will last a few hours, denied by the 54-year-old herself who collapsed after seven hours at the police station in Lanciano.

The possible accomplice

There are still many points to clarify behind this charade. According to Il Messaggero, Santirocco was distressed by economic problems. The business of his dance and fitness school is said to be in crisis after a drop in customers. And it would not be excluded that she was helped by someone in her escape. The hypothesis raised by Messaggero is that Santirocco would have re-established relations with an ex of hers, a man from the province of Caserta who she would have dated until last year. He may have been the one who helped her get away from her.

The exorcist

The hypothesis that the woman acted completely alone is also not excluded. She had felt alone and abandoned for some time now, according to the stories collected by Repubblica. A personal malaise that the 54-year-old would have confided, at least in part, to Father Pius Chittilappilly. Twice Santirocco turned to this exorcist priest, accompanied by a man. In Chittilappilly she told her of her worries, after she had found “ugly objects” in the four corners of her gym which made her think she was the victim of a curse. Chittilappilly himself would not have been alarmed and doubts that that detail is linked to her disappearance.
