“I’m happy that a man of value like General Vannacci has decided to carry on his battles for freedom together with the League in the European Parliament”, thus Matteo Salvini on the occasion of the presentation of his book, in Milan, on the afternoon of 25 April, he announced the most awaited candidacy in view of the European elections of 8 and 9 June: “If the theme is freedom, I remember with horror the last summer when, not knowing him, I got to know him thanks to some diligent left-wing journalist, who panned him because an army general who served his country and defended his men, his boys around the world, risking his life to defend the honor of Italy had dared to write a book – explained the secretary of the League -.
