Aston Martin DBX707, small touches with the restyling. New infotainment arrives

Aston Martin has updated its DBX707 SUV. The slight restyling to which it has been subjected essentially concerns the interior which has been revised with the introduction of the new infotainment system that the car manufacturer has developed for its latest models. Production of the new DBX707 will begin in the second quarter of 2024 and the first deliveries will start soon after.

DESIGN AND INTERIORS

Design changes they are really detailed. Aston Martin has revised the retractable handles and introduced new rear-view mirrors, now with the glass flush. They also arrive new colors for the bodywork: Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green and Aura Green, as well as the addition of Podium Green, available for the first time exclusively on the DBX707 AMR23 Edition. Also new for the alloy wheels.

With this SUV update comes two new wheel finishes: Satin Black for the 23-inch Fortis wheels and Copper Bronze for the 23-inch Forged wheels. The 22-inch Sport, 23-inch Fortis and 23-inch Forged wheel designs remain unchanged, with Silver, Gloss Black, Textured Black, Satin Black and Satin Black Diamond Turned finishes also available on select wheels.

The most important news of the restyling we find inside the passenger compartment. Every aspect of the interior spaces has been improved. For example, the steering wheel is new and is characterized by the crown flattened in the lower part. Aston Martin has also rethought the air vents, while the new front door trim panels have been enlarged and available in a wide choice of materials.

Interior customization offers three distinct settings: Inspire Comfort, characterized by matrix embroidery and quilting; Inspire Sport, with vector embroidery; and Accelerate with Alcantara. Additional details include micropiping and sateen embroidery. Additionally, customers can take full advantage of Aston Martin’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, for even more exclusive personalisation.

Talking about the technology, the automaker has introduced a new infotainment system with 10.25 inch screen. Behind the steering wheel we find the 12-inch digital instrument panel. However, the new DBX707 is equipped with dedicated buttons for key operations such as gear selection, transmission control, heating and ventilation.

The SUV can also count on a 14-speaker Aston Martin Premium Audio 800w sound system. Optional options include a Bowers & Wilkins audio system.

Under the hood of the DBX707 we always find the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 707 hp and 900 Nm combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Speaking of performance, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 km/h.

The braking system can count on 420 mm front discs and 390 mm rear discs. With this light restyling, Aston Martin technicians have further refined the driving dynamics of the SUV, reviewing the calibration of the electronic shock absorbers and air springs.
