The distribution of the coupons would have weighed on the main Italian Stock Exchange index by approximately 1.5%. Banking stocks remain in the spotlight. Bad Iveco

The major indices of the Italian Stock Exchange and the main European financial markets are in general increase in the first session of the week, ad exception of Piazza Affari. There FTSEMib performance is affected by detachment of the dividend of some basket giants: the distribution of coupons would have weighed on the index by approximately 1.5%. However, the performance of the securities that have detached the coupon is based on the closing price of the session on Friday 19 April 2024, adjusted by the amount of the coupon assigned.

At 2.10 pm FTSEMib recorded a decline of 0.86% to 33,629 points, after having fluctuated between a minimum of 33,423 points and a maximum of 33,823 points. At the same time the FTSE Italia All Share it was down 0.8%. Fractional changes for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (-0.05%) and for the FTSE Italia Star (+0.58%).

The bitcoin it was brought back to 66,000 dollars (around 62,000 euros).

The Btp-Bund spread stands just under 135 points, with the yield of the ten-year BTP which returned below 3.9%.

L’EUR it fell below $1.065.

Banking sector stocks remain in the spotlight.

In evidence UniCredit: the title of the institute led by Andrea Orcel is in increase of 1.51% at 33.975 euros (33.47 euros the price adjusted in Friday’s session). The banking giant paid a gross dividend of 1.8029 euros.

Also the BancoBPM (+0.03% to 5.832 euros) distributed the coupon. The institute distributed 0.56 euros per share. The adjusted price of the stock at Friday’s closing was 5.83 euros.

Better performance for the Monte dei Paschi di Siena (+3.05%).

Stellantis recorded an increase of 1.7% at 23.065 euros (22.68 euros the price adjusted in Friday’s session). The automotive giant paid a gross dividend of 1.55 euros.

Definitely a bad day for Iveco Group (-3.25% to 11.745 euros). The company announced that Olof Persson will replace Gerrit Marx as group CEO with effect from 1 July 2024.

Among the smaller capitalization companies, Bioera was readmitted to trading after Friday’s suspension. However, the stock is suspended for excessive upside, after recording a theoretical advance of 44.5%. The company announced that it has signed an investment agreement with Hara Immobiliare.
