The fast ship Procida Island departing from Capri it hit a quay at Beverello Pier in Naples during mooring operations. According to initial reports, there would be around thirty injured, 21 of whom were hospitalized in Neapolitan hospitals with maxillofacial trauma or injuries.
There were several hundred passengers on board, including many foreigners. Several injured people are currently being assisted by 118, 21 have been transported to the nearest hospitals, another 8 have presented themselves with their own vehicles to the emergency room of the Pellegrini hospital. An advanced medical post was set up at the site of the accident and the rescue coordinator requested the further dispatch of ambulances.
