He tried to kill her by pointing his car at her. A head-on collision along State Road 126, in Carbonia. Alessio Zonza, 50 years old, security guard, had already been reported for stalking a few months ago. Her relationship with the victim of attempted murder, Amanda Gallus, 45, ended in 2022. Yesterday, the woman filed a new complaint because the man had started following her and threatening her again. He followed her, filled her with phone calls, messages and threats. She had already reported him, but she had only obtained a ban from approaching him and a trial set for the next few months. Now the woman is hospitalized in the Neurosurgery department of the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, with several fractures and traumas. Her life is not in danger. The attacker, however, who suffered multiple traumas and several fractures, is in custody at the Sirai hospital in Carbonia.

The dynamics

The security guard, driving his Alfa 147, crashed into the Ford Fiesta driven by the 45-year-old. It seems that the woman was still on the phone with the police when the clash occurred: “There is someone following me,” the woman reportedly said during the call. Then the lane change and the crash. The accident occurred yesterday, Wednesday 17 April, at kilometer 16 of State Road 126. Local police officers, firefighters and 118 ambulances intervened on site to investigate. No signs of braking from the attacker’s car. The investigators of the Cagliari flying squad, coordinated by the prosecutor Gaetano Porcu, together with the policemen of the Carbonia police station, continued the investigations until the early hours of this morning. Then the arrest came. Not only that, several recovered videos nail him, which would testify to Alessio Zonza’s murderous intentions.
