She was 45 years old and died in the Civil hospital after two days in hospital
The woman who fell from her horse didn’t make it Tuesday 23 December: she died on Christmas Day at the Civil hospital in Brescia. The victim is 45-year-old Jessica Caratti. The woman was in Folino Cabiana, in the Toscolano Maderno area, on a horseback ride to a local farmhouse, when she suddenly fell from her horse and was crushed by the animal.
When the rescuers arrived, the 45-year-old was unconscious and was transported with the utmost urgency to the Civil Code Red, where she died after two days of agony. The woman lived in Gardone but worked in Salò, she was a historic collaborator of the Salò Infopoint.
According to an initial reconstruction by the Carabinieri of the Salò company, iThe horse suddenly became frightened, stood up on its hind legs and then fell backwards, overwhelming the woman. When help arrived, Jessica Caratti was already in cardiac arrest. Garda 118 volunteers and an air ambulance intervened on site, which after emergency maneuvers transported the injured person to the Civil Hospital of Brescia.
The woman had a passion for horse riding: the horse was his and he left it at the stables of the Castello Stables.
The condolences of the Municipality
The news aroused deep condolences in Salò and in Gardone Riviera, where the woman lived in the hamlet of San Michele together with her 13-year-old son. Jessica Caratti was well known in the area for her work: she managed the Salò tourist info point, a few steps from the town hall, and was appreciated for the commitment and availability shown in organizing initiatives and events.
