Meloni with the sweater “To you and your family too”

Let’s start with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who on the morning of December 25th published a photo in which she appears smiling, in front of the decorated tree, wearing a red Christmas sweater with the writing “To you and your family too”, the classic response in an exchange of greetings, and in her hand a cup of coffee, also red. The caption accompanying the image is “Merry Christmas!”.

Best wishes from the presidents of the House and Senate

Let’s move on to the presidents of the House and Senate. “To you and your loved ones I extend my heartfelt wishes for a Holy Christmas, to be lived with serenity”, wrote Lorenzo Fontana posting an image of the nativity. Ignazio La Russa, however, chose a photo that portrays him together with the Pope. “I chose this photo, full of meaning and taken next to the nativity scene during the Holy Father’s recent visit to the Senate, to wish you all a merry Christmas. My hope is that they will be days of serenity and peace, lived in the warmth of affection and in that hope that Christmas renews every year”, we read in the post of the president of Palazzo Madama.

The deputy prime minister and leader of the League Matteo Salvini instead published a video message. “Many, many and many best wishes for serenity, health, success, peace for the world around us. I am happy because, after five years of trials, travel and testimonies, it is the first Christmas that I can celebrate with my family, no longer as a suspect or accused, but as an acquitted, free Italian, because I defended the security, borders and dignity of my country”, he says in the film, with a reference to the epilogue of the Open Arms judicial case. “I won’t be long – concludes the Minister of Infrastructure -.
