Love, champagne and pickleball: the champion Venus Williams and the Italian-Danish actor Andrea Preti made their wedding official in a mega-party in Palm Beach. For her 10 wedding dresses and Serena offering yachts
When the Grand Slam meets Italian cinema, the result is a fairytale marriage. Venus Williams, seven-time winner of Slam, he officially married the actor and former model Andrea Preti in a five-day celebration that transformed Palm Beach into a dream stage. The magazine made it official on social media on Monday Voguetelling of a party that lasted five days.
“We all love each other so much,” Venus said. “It was simply the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.” And judging by the details, the champion spared no expense or imagination.
From Milan to Ischia, with a stopover in court
The love story began during Milan Fashion Week in September 2024: love at first sight for the 45-year-old tennis player and the 37-year-old actor. “It was love at first sight,” confessed Venus. A month after the fight, however, reality became harsh: Williams was diagnosed with adenomyosis which required surgery. «I had the operation a month after Andrea and I met. It was crazy, but that’s how we really met,” he said.
Last July the announcement of the engagement, on September 18th, symbolic ceremony in Ischia — because the dream was to get married in the Mediterranean — but the paperwork for foreigners takes eight months. So last Friday the two stopped by court in Florida to legalize everythingand on Saturday they kicked off the real party.
Ten dresses, yachts and obstacle courses
The celebration at Venus’ Palm Beach residence, hosted by Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events and captured by photographer David Bastianoni, included: yacht trips (courtesy of Serena23-time Slam champion and generous sister), star-studded dinners, and an afternoon of sports with volleyball, pickleball and obstacle courses. Because a Williams remains a Williams, even at the altar.
Venus showed off ten bespoke dresses, including one by Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika. “It was a week full of fashion, love and family,” concluded the bride. Preti, at her side in the most difficult moments of her illness, won not only the heart of the champion but also the applause of Vogue. And when Vogue approves, it’s official: game, set and match.
