Furthermore, in 2003, the Roman artist involved his partner in the creation and administration of the O’Scia Foundation, a non-profit organization that organized a light music festival in Lampedusa with the aim of raising public awareness of the delicate theme of the immigration emergency. In 2013, unfortunately, O’Scia’s activities stopped due to lack of public funds. Today Claudio and his current partner, Rossella, live in Rome and continue to work together, but keep away from the jet set and glamorous life. Barattolo met Baglioni for the first time in 1987, and at the time she didn’t even know who he was. Shortly after, their relationship began, which was kept secret for several years. The most famous is A Thousand Days of You and Me, one of my favourites, although fans claim it was written for his ex-wife. We had been together for three years and were drifting apart because we were so different. So I walked away for a few months. Then, when we got back together, Claudio asked me to listen to a song. It was called A Thousand Days because it spoke of our three years together. On the Beyond album, there’s yet another song called Lady of the Dark Hours, and it’s a description of how he experienced me, how he saw me. It is a poem of great beauty.
