LOCKER ROOM CHRONICLES – The rapper Gemitaiza well-known fan of the Rome, told the well-known podcast about his love for the yellow and red colours. These are his words: “When I was little I only thought about that: football and Rome. I have always played since I was a child and have always been a big fan. I remember the days spent on the pitch, when I said: ‘I want to become like Totti’. Now things have changed, kids want to be rappers. Before, you went home, finished doing your things as soon as possible and then went out to play football.”
About Rome?
“I have always been a big fan, but around 2018-2019 I became estranged. I felt really bad, I said to myself: ‘Yes, but I can’t be that nervous for a football team’. So I had reached a point where I really had no idea who played or coached Roma. I just watched a few games with friends, but by now I was no longer hot or cold: a certain detachment had been created, also because I was always out and about between concerts, tours, dates with my music, so it was easier to be carefree . During the pandemic, however, I fell back into it with all my shoes: I couldn’t do anything, I was stuck and so Sunday became a permanent appointment again. It was me and Roma, once again. Now I am completely dominated as before. I started seeing them all again and always following them a year before Mourinho’s arrival. The passion is back, at the same level as when I was just a kid.”
On the Conference League final?
“On the evening of the Conference League final there was Mace’s concert in Milan and I was one of the guests. I said: ‘I won’t go on stage until the match is over’. Another friend of mine and I saw her in a separate dressing room, where there was a TV. He actually had to work, but for that hour and a half he practically did nothing. Like me. That match was too important: we experienced it like this, in a dressing room backstage, while the concert was taking place outside. We’re back to winning after a long, really long time. And with a goal from Zaniolo: we must be forever grateful to him. On that cup, there is his name”.
