The concert, free for the public present, was a great advertisement for tourism in Rio and the Brazilian city contributed by paying four of the eleven million euros of production costscompared to those beyond 50 million in related activities estimated for the local economy. There has been no shortage of controversy over the 4 million euros invested by the State of Rio de Janeiro. “The government spent 20 million reais for this show, it’s absurd, the taxes are theft. People are dying of hunger, they are needy, there are no toilets in Brazil”, a boy protested live to the microphones of the Globo TV who was following the show from Copacabana.
