Learning that you have been left out of an important project is never easy, especially when you have been an integral and fundamental part of that project for years: this is what happened to Kelsey Grammar (and her co-stars), who found herself excluded from X-Men: First Class due to the obvious need to rely on younger actors.

On the occasion of the film that James McAvoy accepted without reading the script, in fact, the production opted for an inevitable re-casting general due to the backward time leap: it was therefore also the star of Bestia who paid the price, who admitted that he had not lived that moment lightly.

The hardest news to accept that I’ve ever been given, to be honest… One was when I had just played Beast, during my Marvel days, when they came and said, ‘We have a fantastic movie planned.’ It was Lauren Donner, who then said to me, ‘We’re going to go back in time.’ And then I suddenly realized, ‘Oh, so I’m not going to be there. My Beast won’t be there, that’s what you’re telling me.’ And so it was, they went back in time and I was taken out. This was very exciting news for me” concluded the actor with a hint of irony. We will see, however, if in the future there will be a way to see Grammar again in the MCU after the cameo in The Marvels!
