Harry Melling’s career has been picking up steam again for some time: after a few years of silence following the finale of Harry Potter (the British actor is best known for being the Dudley Dursley of the saga) ours is finally finding his dimension, as demonstrated by the news arriving in recent hours.
A few days after the new chapter of the clash between Daniel Radcliffe and JK Rowling, the Harry Potter star was in fact announced as the protagonist of Pillion: in the film we will see Melling in the role of Colin, a man whose life will take a completely unexpected turn later upon meeting Ray (Alexander Skarsgard), the leader of a queer biker gang whose members have no other purpose than to live their lives to the fullest.
This is a new, important opportunity for Melling, who has already had the opportunity to get noticed in several important productions in recent years, from Joel Coen’s Macbeth to His Dark Materials, via The Pale Blue Eye, The Old Guard and especially The Queen of Chess. Will Harry Potter’s ex-Dudley be able to win us over with this queer love story too? We’ll find out in some time!
