Captain America fans will have easily caught the reference to Anthony Mackie’s new costume. His superhero look is very reminiscent of that of Chris Evans in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, preserving the blue touch of the armor and without forgetting the iconic shield acquired by inheritance. In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson already had the opportunity to show off a costume to represent his new superhero status but, when he returns to the screen for Captain America: Brave New World, he will choose a new palette. The reason would be hidden behind the tone chosen by the film. Just like The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Endgame, this film – the fourth dedicated to the character of Captain America – will also adopt a more dramatic and dark tone. The producers of the film had already previously commented on the possible return to the origins, picking up on the tone of The Winter Soldier. The film, moreover, will see Sam dealing with a new request from Thunderbolt Rosswho became president of the United States of America and played by Harrison Ford. His idea is that of restore the Avengers: but which ones are you referring to?
In a first clip shared during the CinemaCon 2024, Thunderbolt chats with Sam, the new Captain America, and explains what his intentions are. It is not clear, however, which Avengers he is referring to. He could aim for the team of Young Avengers, thus giving the opportunity for next-generation Avengers to take over the dynamics of the MCU? Or choose the team of antiheroes in Thunderbolts as the next Avengers in government service?
