Arnold Schwarzenegger Machiavellian: “How I tried to sabotage Sylvester Stallone”
Descriptive text here

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone were the two titans of action cinema between the 80s and 90s and their rivalry became so fierce that they both used Machiavellian tactics in order to grab the medal of the most important action star in the world . The two talked about it in a TMZ special.

The special, from the title Arnold & Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons, traces that stormy relationship and the subsequent friendship that now distinguishes him. Interviewed by Harvey Levin, Schwarzy and Sly delved into some details of the time.

At the end of March, Schwarzenegger updated fans on the heart surgery he underwent. The actor is returning to full form and in the special documentary for TMZ he recalled a rather well-known anecdote about the production of Stop, or mother shoot, a 1992 action comedy starring Stallone and Estelle Getty. The film turned out to be a total flop but Sly agreed to make it… because of Schwarzenegger. The Terminator star set a ‘trap’ for his rival colleague; he spread the word that he was about to make the film, in order to get Stallone’s attention. At that point he let his colleague interpret the film, which he had already understood could turn out to be a real flop:“I was of course over the moon, I felt like the only way I could get to him was if he stumbled. It was a psychological thing, which is Hollywood. Your worth is measured by the success of your latest movie. So, I was like, ‘Okay, if Sly stumbled…”.

A few months ago, the documentary on Stallone was published: Sly reveals the origins of the name Rocky Balboa, his most famous character throughout the world.
