Corin Hardy returns to cinemas from February 19th with this film distributed by Midnight Factory, Plaion Pictures’ horror label. Here is the teaser trailer and plot of Whistle – Call of the Dead.
Next February 19th Midnight Factory, Plaion Pictures’ horror label, will bring the new horror directed by Corin Hardy, the director of The Nunof which you will find the following teaser trailer and the teaser poster. The film is titled Whistle – The call of deathand it’s a teen horror which sees at the center of its plot the most classic of cursed objects, in this specific case an ancient Aztec artifact actually used in ancient times to evoke Death and instill terror in enemies in battle; a sort of death whistle, in short, whose horrifying sound brings with it an inexorable curse: anyone who hears it immediately anticipates the inevitable appointment with their own tragic destiny. It will obviously be a group of high school students, marginalized and outsiders, who will have to deal with the persecution of Death, who would like to eliminate them one by one, a bit like in the Final Destination saga.
At the head of this group of friends we find Dafne Keen (Logan, Deadpool & Wolverine) as Sophocles, the determined protagonist who tries to keep the group together as the situation spirals towards horror. At his side Sophie Nélisse(Yellowjackets, Story of a Book Thief Story, 47 Meters – Uncaged) as the tormented and vulnerable Ellie. The young actors complete the group Sky Yang, Jhalle Swaby, Ali Skyoe his Percy of White (appeared in the Netflix series Wednesday). To give further charisma to the film we find Nick Frost (How to Train Your Dragon), a well-known face of genre cinema.
