What is about to arrive in Elba cinemas is a weekend not to be missed. Two new films that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
The new, exciting chapter of one of cinema’s longest-running and beloved science fiction sagas arrives on the big screen at the “Nello Santi” in Portoferraio: “Ghostbusters – Glacial Menace”. We return to where it all began: the iconic New York fire station, transformed into a modern, top-secret anti-ghost laboratory. To face a new evil force, old and new Ghostbusters will have to team up to save the world from a second, terrible ice age.
The film is scheduled for Friday 19th and Saturday 20th, at 9.30pm, and a double show on Sunday 21st April, at 6pm and 9.30pm.
At Capoliveri’s “Flamingo”, however, another exciting and valid directorial debut, where music and feminism meet to give life to a truly well-thought-out film: with “Gloria!”, Margherita Vicario takes us to Venice at the end of the eighteenth century, where we meet the orphans of the musical convent of Sant’Ignazio. Valuable musicians, composers, singers, unjustly considered mere performers by a pompous master, who will find their opportunity for redemption thanks to the sudden arrival of a newly invented instrument: the piano. The cast of the film also includes Elio and Veronica Lucchesi from La Representative di Lista.
The film will be screened on Saturday 20th, at 9.30pm, Sunday 21st and Wednesday 24th April, at 7pm.
