During a panel at CinemaCon dedicated to a retrospective on his career, George Miller he talked about the decisions that led him to choose Anya Taylor-Joy And Chris Hemsworth as protagonists of his Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

For Happy Feet I have worked with a lot of exceptional dancers, I understand the dedication and physical rigor that the discipline requires, as well as the great emotional concentration. All this makes Anya the perfect Furiosa.
As for the character of Chris, I have to admit that I didn’t think about him until we talked and met for the first time. I realized what a person with more ideas than he seemed to be, and I found myself curious to find out what he would do for the role. The material available seemed tailor-made for him, so I thought I’d let him do it and see what he could show me.
