One of 1,311 Ferrari F40 built by the Maranello house is currently hosted on a mega yacht in Monte Carlo, where the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held on Sunday.
The iconic Italian supercar built between the late 80s and early 90s is a car that can be photographed on the streets of the Principality as it was spotted today on the deck of a yacht well 180 feet which could cost approx 40 million dollars.
Obviously, this is all part of a publicity stunt by a company, Altr.trade, a luxury online boutique that allows you to buy luxury items using cryptocurrencies. Additionally, Altr allows collectors to digitize their existing collections and use them as collateral to borrow cash without selling. A digital proof of ownership is issued, in the form of an NFT, which can be held, traded, secured or redeemed for the physical item at any time.

The company has partnered with Italian dealer Car & Car to sell high-end vehicles on the platform, and this Ferrari F40 is likely to lead the way, as Altr’s website has a dedicated ‘Cars’ section that it will be online soon.
Putting such a rare and valuable car on a yacht in Monaco made headlines. A “brilliant” gimmick, considering the Formula 1 race scheduled for this weekend.
