TURIN – Two key episodes in the first half of Napoli-Milan, the return quarter-final of the Champions League. At Maradona the result in the first forty-five minutes is 1-0 for the guests but under the magnifying glass there is a penalty awarded and failed and another sensational one not given to the Azzurri. Going in order, the penalty for the Rossoneri arrives first with Leao as the protagonist: Mario Rui arrives on the Portuguese and hits him with the ball that is now far away, an obvious foul that is undoubtedly sanctioned by Marciniak. Giroud goes from the spot, Meret senses and rejects the shot in the roar of the stadium. But the penalty had to be repeated by regulation, there were three or even four Napoli players in the area before the conclusion.
Leao mows down Lozano, Marciniak and the Var do not sanction
A few minutes later the other episode: Lozano is ready to kick in the area, Leao arrives in a slide who takes the ball away from him and then knocks it down: Marciniak points to the corner kick, but the images show the AC Milan player hitting the opponent’s foot just before touching the ball. The Var clamorously does not help the match director, we continue but Napoli are missing a penalty on 0-0 according to the regulation.
