In the press conference to present the new season, the president of Taranto Maximum Jupiter he spoke about the future of the Ionian club, focusing on the next season and on all the hot topics that are monopolizing the debate among the fans. About the last championship: ”Last year was an important year. We did something beautiful and important. In these 15/20 days of waiting, everything has been said and written about me and Eziolino but there has never been anything between us. We have got back to work, the coach is rebuilding the team on the backbone we had from last year with the prerequisites of having another important championship, then the pitch will tell us where we can get to. This year’s championship will be more complex than last year’s, there will be some of our flags who for various reasons will no longer be part of our team but other players will arrive. The coach is working, I am convinced that we will be able to do something good and positive”

On the meeting with Capuano a few days ago: ”When I met Capuano 15 days ago, the first question the coach asked me was whether we had a stadium. I said yes because Minister Abodi had confirmed it to me. I gave Capuano the mandate to continue the project already designed last year. When I took Capuano, I knew that to compete in Lega Pro you had to know how to play football, Eziolino is the encyclopedia of footballers, when he prepares matches he is obsessive and knows any type of athlete. There are many clubs that have spent more than us, then football expertise makes the difference. I have never said that ours is a rich, strong and powerful club, but we believe that we can do something in football. With ideas we will be able to compete this year too“

More on last season: ”The biggest regret of our season? The fire on the first day, that event marked the entire path of Taranto. We started with great enthusiasm, after the fire we suffered significant economic damage. From there, there was an imposition made by the League to make us play many games in a short time, playing a normal championship, perhaps, we could have improved our path. Then that economic damage also made us take, unfairly in my opinion, those 4 penalty points. I have always tried to speak as little as possible, sometimes telling things as they are can be annoying to many people. But between me and Eziolino there has never been any situation of misunderstanding. At the end of the championship, I believe that Taranto has suffered yet another injustice. In Vicenza our fans were attacked and the firecracker that made a steward lose a toe did not go off from our sector. Taranto, however, received 2 match disqualification and Vicenza nothing. Then after the appeal, the fine from 15 thousand euros also went up to 20 thousand. This year my attitude will change, silence is not rewarding. The president will have to speak and will take responsibility for what we say. There is a persecution against Taranto and this is not good, but it is not just me who must speak about this, but the whole city. The appeal I make to my fans is that whatever we do, in the end the club always pays’‘

On the Faggiano stadium affair: ”This is an important point in trying to move the club forward, aware that the youth sector will be crucial in this and also for this reason we have reached a three-year agreement with Pietro Armenise. Today the difficulty in Faggiano is to find funds to make investments. There is the Credito Sportivo but to access certain funds you need to have triple A balance sheets and in the world of football almost no one has them. We were confident that Faggiano could also go through a redevelopment of the Mediterranean Games, we have requested it but there are other ideas and we can only respect them”

On the season ticket campaign and the general manager: ”We will organize the Season Ticket Campaign as we did last year and I hope there will be no surprises during the season. Otherwise it would be another setback for Taranto. But I don’t even want to think about it. As for the general manager, I think he is a superfluous presence.”
