Ravenna. Carabiniere acquitted after sexual intercourse with a woman in the barracks

He had entered the provincial command of the Carabinieri of Ravenna together with two women, telling the guard that he was doing it for work reasons. But shortly after in the office he had had sexual intercourse with one of the two in front of the other.

And after an initial sentence of 11 months for fraud, related to an undue hour of overtime (15.85 euros), and for false statements made to his colleague, the man – a 54-year-old selected corporal originally from the province of Naples, at the time in service in the Romagna city and then transferred to another city – has now been acquitted by the Court of Appeal of Bologna with various formulas (for particular triviality of the fact and because the fact does not exist) as requested by his lawyer Enrico Ferri. The Court also revoked the accessory penalty of loss of rank due to removal.

The story – as reported by Ansa ER – dates back to the night between January 10 and 11, 2017. But it came to light when the following November the woman, a 40-year-old of foreign origin, returned to the barracks to report him for sexual violence.

A version however denied by the friend who had witnessed the brief relationship and who had reported that it was the 40 year old who had proposed and taken the initiative: the woman had been sentenced in the first instance for slander to one year and four months. The appeal is pending here.
