General Roberto Vannacci has chosen to be elected in the North-West, where with 186,966 preferences he obtained his best result among all the electoral districts. “I thank General Vannacci for a choice that allows the League to have a balanced territorial representation throughout the country, certain that Roberto will give an increasingly valuable contribution in a historical and international phase that will see us as protagonists. This morning I met Angelo Ciocca, a man who has my full respect and trust, and who from now on will work directly alongside me”, the words of Matteo Salvini, leader of the Carroccio. After Vannacci’s choice, the list of those elected in Strasbourg of the League is definitive: Silvia Sardone, Isabella Tovaglieri, Anna Maria Cisint, Paolo Borchia, Roberto Vannacci, Susanna Ceccardi, Aldo Patriciello and Raffaele Stancanelli.
Among those elected is MEP Ceccardi, who conquers the seat in Brussels and silences the social people who had heavily criticized her in the days of the European elections: “I am happy that my constant and passionate work of 5 years in the European Parliament in defense of the interests of Italians, of our sovereignty and of our identity has been recognized and rewarded by the territories that I represent. Now another 5 years even more demanding await me, of tough opposition to a Europe that wants to continue to damage our families and our businesses with anti-economic and ideological regulations. But hard work and hard work have never scared me, I am ready for this new challenge, giving voice to over 34 thousand people who have renewed their trust in me. In these days at the European Parliament I have already seen some newly elected members go around and since among them there are also some unsavory characters – teases Ceccardi -, perhaps it would be a good idea to dust off my pepper spray for personal defense… you never know!”.
