Atletica Piacenza returns from the Italian Absolute Championships in La Spezia with a very respectable haul, embellished by the new Italian title of Andrea Dallavalle in the triple jump.

Dallavalle dominates triple jump

Once again, Andrea Dallavalle confirms himself at the top of the national triple jump scene. The Piacenza native, who grew up in Atletica Piacenza and now plays for the Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Gialle, dominated the competition with a series of jumps above 16.60 meters. His best leap, 16.77 meters, earned him the Italian title and brings him closer to the dream of participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Dallavalle, who has already qualified for the 2020 Olympics, is now waiting for the official update from the World Athletics Ranking to find out his final position in the qualifying rankings. The 24-year-old is aiming to return to heights above 17 meters to regain the condition that has brought him to the top nationally and internationally.

Cesena and Cravedi shine in their respective races

In addition to Dallavalle’s triumph, Atletica Piacenza can also smile for the performances of Lorenzo Cesena and Rebecca Cravedi. Cesena, competing in the 400 hurdles, achieved an excellent sixth place with his second best time of the season, 51″78. The young athlete, trained by Giovanni Baldini, confirmed his high level by reaching his second overall final in two years.

Cravedi, on the other hand, closed the 200 meters with a time of 25″48, demonstrating once again his talent. Unfortunately, we must point out the absence of Mattia Favari, registered in the 100 meters but forced to withdraw from the race due to a muscle strain.

A positive balance for Atletica Piacenza

Overall, Atletica Piacenza can certainly be satisfied with the results obtained at the Italian Absolute Championships. The placings of Dallavalle, Cesena and Cravedi testify to the consolidated growth of the club and the presence of valuable athletes capable of competing at the highest national levels. Now the goal is to continue working with commitment and dedication to reach new goals and take the name of Atletica Piacenza even higher.
