But there are also those, few, who have managed to get out of it unscathed. The victims have filed a complaint with the Postal Police and the Carabinieri. Investigations are underway.

The dynamics. The victims received a call on their cell phones from individuals who, introducing themselves as carabinieri, were informed of investigations underway against them because their current accounts showed anomalous movements. They announced that they would shortly receive a call from the bank manager. And so it was. The fake manager asked them to provide the number of the current account in their name with all the necessary credentials to inform them of what they had to do.
From there, within a few minutes, the transfers started from 3,000, 5,000 up to 20/25 thousand euros, almost all to foreign current accounts. Only then did the victims discover that they had been deceived, defrauded and robbed. Law enforcement agencies invite the population not to provide sensitive data to strangers. If you have the slightest doubt you need to do two things: either call the police (112) or even better, physically go to the nearest police station or to your local bank branch.
