With a press note, sent to our editorial staff this evening, TimeNova Holding SA communicates that «today a new economic offer was presented to the owners of Perugia Calcio by virtue of the recent approval of the court which reduced the debt exposure”.
«The new proposal – we read in the note – provides for a total amount that exceeds 8 million, plus a bonus in the case of B by 6/30/2026». The figures in detail would be 4 million euros for the value of the club, 4 million euros for the assumption of previous debts plus a million euro bonus in the event of promotion.
Remaining in the background, even if it is not explicitly mentioned, is the supply for three years, until 30 June 2027, to the Perugia Academy of kits for the young players who are part of it and the technical material for the First Team and the Primavera. «The lawyer Di Tommaso – the signatory of the note writes TimeNova Holding SA – has also already included in the company’s industrial plan a minimum investment ranging between 12 and 16 million euros for the next 3 sports seasons in relation to the category in which the Club will compete”.
The figures vary according to the category, they would be 4 million in Serie C, 6 million in Serie B. In the note, TimeNova also explicitly refers to the exit of the consortium led by Claudio Sciurpa. «We learned from the newspapers – explains Di Tommaso – of the renunciation of Dr. Sciurpa’s consortium, but we invite him to join us in our journey to guide the future of Perugia, this company will never close its doors to those who have ideas and projects to improve the growth path of this important football reality.” But based on the information we have at the moment there is no margin to proceed in this direction.
For this reason, it should be noted that «TimeNova has already made contact and is stipulating the framework agreements, which will take a concrete form in the event of acceptance of the proposal made to Santopadre, for the design of the new stadium through direct investments and through financial and/or entrepreneurial partners of international caliber». The reference is clearly to the project created by Studio Zavanella but which would not necessarily directly involve the authors of the Arena Curi project.
The note ends with a general indication of the season that officially began at midnight on July 1, 2024. «The sports season began today – writes Di Tommaso in the note – for this reason Timenova has already identified a new organizational model and the people who will be part of it:
* Board of Directors: composed of 3 people
* General Manager – figure with previous experience in professional football, graduated in Economics with Master in Management, former Referee, registered in 3 professional registers: Journalist Publicist, Financial Consultant at the Bank of Italy and Sports Director at the FIGC
* Sports Director – person with many years of experience as a coach in C and qualified for the role of Sports Director for a few sports seasons
* General Secretary – man with long-standing experience, over 25 years of hard work in all professional categories from Serie C to Serie A
* Team Manager – professional with several professional diplomas obtained in Coverciano, has already worked in both amateur and professional football. He also boasts experience in foreign leagues and youth sectors in Serie A clubs.”
If they are roses they will bloom. But the crux remains the same, the actual will of Massimiliano Santopadre to sell Perugia. A will that is legitimate to doubt, especially in light of the fact that both the group led by Sciurpa and the Luxembourg group have exceeded, and by far, the fateful threshold of 3 million euros requested by the red and white patron to sell the club. Without, however, these offers having been taken into consideration at the moment.
