The regional weather forecast for the afternoon and evening of today, Monday 1st July, widespread and frequent rainfall, with showers and thunderstorms that will start from the mountainous areas and then move towards the plains. In the southern areas, bad weather conditions could persist into the early hours of tomorrow, Tuesday 2 July. Heavy rain is expected locally intense thunderstorms, characterized by heavy showers, gusts of wind and local hailstorms.

In response to these forecasts, the Decentralized Functional Center of the Civil Protection of Veneto has issued a warning of hydraulic and hydrogeological criticality. The notice is valid until 2pm on July 2nd. In detail, the operational phase of Attention (yellow alert) has been declared for hydraulic criticality in the Vene-C, Vene-D and Vene-E basins (Adige-Garda and Monti Lessini; Po,Fissero-Tartaro-CanalBianco and Basso Adige and Basso Brenta -Bacchiglione), due to the sustained hydrometric levels along the Adige river. Particular attention was paid to the embankment problems along the stretch downstream of Boara Pisani, in the Vene-D and Vene-E areas.

Furthermore, the operational phase of Attention (yellow alert) has been declared due to hydrogeological criticalities linked to storms, valid until 6:00 tomorrow throughout the regional territory.

The Civil Protection recommends citizens to pay maximum attention and follow the indications provided by local authorities.
