FORLÌ, 01 JULY – Starting next academic year (2024-2025) at the Forlì Campus of the University of Bologna, the master’s degree course in Nautical Engineering, the first in Emilia-Romagna and among the first in Italy (similar courses exist in Genoa, La Spezia, Naples and Trieste). The project can count on a total funding of almost 7 million assured by the University of Bologna, the Emilia-Romagna region, the Ferretti shipbuilding group, the Carifo Foundation, the Municipality of Forlì and the Chamber of Commerce of Romagna.
The new course will start, for bureaucratic reasons, with a maximum of ten students, and then quickly reach a closed number of 50 students in the face of a hundred expected applications. The course will focus on the shipbuilding of high-quality pleasure boats, a typical excellence of the Adriatic shipyards and especially those of Romagna.
“We continue to break down the barriers between the world of study, research and work – underlined the regional councilors Vincenzo Colla and Paola Salomoni – with the aim of training young people who find a professional opportunity in local companies, in the public sectors and the social economy”.
“We will be the fifth city in Italy and the first in the region to have a degree course in nautical engineering – added the mayor of Forlì, Gian Luca Zattini – this is a great achievement for the city, especially in terms of strengthening the university identity”.
