The sixth edition of the “Festival Trentino 2060, thinking about the present and imagining the future” concluded yesterday in Borgo Valsugana. Four days of events that dealt with different topics with speakers of national and international fame.
Last night the sixth “Festival Trentino 2060 – thinking about the present, imagining the future” dedicated to the theme “Basics: reorienting the future” was handed over to the archives.
It was organized by the Agorà Association in co-promotion with Cassa Rurale Valsugana e Tesino and other local institutions and entities, first and foremost the Municipality of Borgo Valsugana.
About fifteen speakers of national or international fame took turns on the stage set up in the heart of Borgo Valsugana for as many topics that captured the attention of an audience of all ages.
“The one that ended last night was the best edition ever – he explains David Battisti, scientific director of the Festival – Overall, in the fifteen events included in the calendar of our four days set in Piazza Degasperi, we recorded the presence of a truly large audience coming not only from all over Trentino but also from Alto Adige and Veneto. From an initial estimate, attendance was several thousand, more than three thousand, confirming the quality of our proposal which ranged over different fields and was able to capture the attention and presence of a heterogeneous audience in terms of age and interests. The number of participants grows from edition to edition and this confirms the solidity of our project which is acquiring more and more centrality in the cultural panorama of Trentino and northern Italy. Allow me to make a last no less important mention of the favorable weather conditions which allowed us to host all the events outdoors in the heart of Borgo Valsugana, transforming Piazza Degasperi into our Agora”.
The start was given on Thursday evening. The inaugural event recorded the presence (remotely due to a sudden impediment) of Enrico Giovannini, economist and former minister. Appointments followed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Massimo Reichlin e Gianfranco Pellegrino (both philosophers and university professors), the journalist and science communicator Max Polydorothe employment consultant Sabrina Grazinithe sinologist Jade Messettithe sociolinguist True Gheno, the philosophy Cristina Bicchierithe virologist and science communicator Ilaria Capua. It’s still, Costantino De Blasi (vice president of Free Beyond Illusions), Barbasophia (teacher, author and popularizer), Max Taddei (editor-in-chief of Pillole di Economia), the journalist and writer Francesca Mannocchithe radio host and journalist Matteo Bordonee Stephen Nazzijournalist and podcaster.
