The regional weather forecast forecasts precipitation on the afternoon and evening today Venetoincluding showers and thunderstorms, widespread and frequent, starting from the mountain areas, moving towards the plains, in whose southern areas they could persist also in the early hours of tomorrow, Tuesday 2 July. Locally intense thunderstorms will be possible (heavy showers, strong gusts, local hailstorms).
In light of the forecasts, the Veneto Civil Protection has issued a weather alert for hydraulic and hydrogeological criticalities valid from 2pm today to 2pm tomorrow. In detail, the Attention operational phase has been declared (yellow alert) per hydraulic criticality in the Vene-C, Vene-D and Vene-E basins, due to the persistence of sustained hydrometric levels along the Adige river. In particular, in the Vene-D and Vene-E areas the operational phase of attention concerns specific problems affecting the embankment body along the downstream section of Boara Pisani. The Attention operational phase was also declared (yellow alert) per hydrogeological criticality due to storms, valid until 6am tomorrow throughout the regional territory.
