CORIGLIANO-ROSSANO – Esterno Giorno Film is pleased to announce the launch of its new mini TV series “Bicycle Man” written and directed by Renato Pagliuso.
The set, built in Calabria precisely in Corigliano-Rossano and surroundings, boasts 54 suggestive and original locations. The series, made in six episodes of about 30 minutes each, explores an intriguing mix of thriller and science fiction, immersing itself in a dark and compelling world.
The cast includes: Fernando Di Virgilio, Raffaella Reda, Paolo Mauro, Merixtell Laso, Valentina Savane, Carmelo Giordano, Emilia Brandi, Romy Costantino. The music is by the duo Di Bona & Sangiovanni The Villa Studios, the photography by Jonathan Elia, a talented student of the director, the editing by Tony Perri. Press officer Euristeo Ceraolo.
Plot: “Bicycle Man” is a nickname for Sam, an old bicycle repairman, and his bike repair shop aided by his devoted student who accidentally entangles himself with a criminal dog fighting ring that is developing a drug to stimulate canine aggression. However, when the dangerous potion enters the bloodstream of unsuspecting humans, including Bicycle Man, they begin to mutate, one by one, into vicious killers. The series promises to keep viewers glued to the screen with its gripping plot and fast pace.
International Distribution: “Bicycle Man” is available on Prime Video, one of the most important platforms in the international arena, distributed both in Italy and abroad. This step marks an important milestone for Esterno Giorno Film, consolidating its presence in the global cinematographic panorama.
Production and Awards: The series is produced by Artisti Indipendenti, a group that recalls cinema legends such as John Cassavetes, Roger Corman, David Lynch and Charlie Chaplin. Director Pagliuso continues undaunted on his path, churning out superior cinematographic works that obtain recognition both in Italy and abroad. Among which we remember Racconto Calabrese, Solitudine di un Regista, Malena 2021, Film Onirico.
Presentation event: In the coming months, a special event will be held in the capital to introduce the series and to thank the distribution. During the event, the owner of Green Film Salvatore Scarico and the production director Cecilia Baldini will be invited.
