The Proximity Offices Project in Puglia: a concrete step towards one
more equitable and accessible justice
Delli Noci: a justice service that is more accessible and closer to citizens. Thanks to
Municipalities adhering to the commitment
The Puglia Region inaugurates the network of Proximity Offices, an innovative
justice model designed to improve the accessibility and usability of
legal services – especially for the most vulnerable groups of
population – made more difficult following the closure of some sections
branches of the Courts.
The project, presented this morning at the headquarters of the Puglia Region in via
Dear in Bari, aims to digitize all voluntary jurisdiction files
at the Apulian Courts allowing to carry out some activities relating to
voluntary jurisdiction directly at the Municipalities to which they belong.
In order to allow the Municipalities to carry out the service, the Region has coordinated
relations with the Ministry of Justice and with all the bodies involved, has
provided the Municipalities with furniture and IT equipment
necessary, has taken care of the specialized training of the personnel involved (to date
training sessions have already been provided to 57 resources, for a total of over
900 hours used), entrusted the digitization activity of over 27,000 files
of Voluntary Jurisdiction at the Apulian Courts, to make it more
make information accessible and simplify procedures.
To date, the Municipalities, individually or in association, which have joined the initiative
by responding to two notices of expression of interest published by
Regional Region, there are 44 (of which 22 are Leaders). In the past few weeks they have already

Andria, Galatina, Molfetta and Guagnano; To follow as the staff
of the municipalities will complete the planned training course, they will activate by
2024 all the other 14 proximity offices, involving the total
territory of 44 municipalities and a catchment area of over 700,000 residents in
Puglia. The aforementioned opportunity for digitalization and delocalization of the
justice system, in the logic of proximity to the needs of citizens and
professionals, is made possible thanks to specific memoranda of understanding and protocols
practices signed between the Puglia Region, the Municipalities adhering to the initiative and the Courts
of Bari, Brindisi, Lecce, Foggia, Taranto and Trani.
