This morning the project began, the experimental summer service which will continuously welcome a limited number of girls and boys from 1st to 26th July. 576 applications were accepted, of which 194 for nursery schools and 299 for nursery schools. With these numbers it was possible to activate a service that favors educational continuity, so that each girl and boy can find the same teachers in the month of July as in the school year and, where possible, attend the same school. It is not so much a traditionally understood summer service, but an educational innovation with a focus primarily on the child.
Each nursery or school organizes activities with its own planning, also with choices of use of the beach, which focuses on educational and recreational activities, with a predilection for outdoor life.
This is a new service that adds to the more traditional one of public summer centers that the municipal administration will continue to carry out regularly, with particular attention to families with greater needs. Furthermore, for those who choose a private summer centre, the Municipality of Rimini offers an important aid package. This amounts to 1 million and 300 thousand euros to support inclusion (which concerns more than 300 girls and boys with disabilities) and to reduce fees for those families who choose private summer centres.
