“Book of the Week”
Next appointment of #villavittoriacultura Wednesday 3 July at 6.00 pm in the garden of Villa Vittoria, with the presentation of the book “La riforma tributaria. Il metodo Matteotti” by Francesco Tundo, Bologna University Press, 2024.
The event will be hosted by Giovanni Fittante, coordinator of the cultural project and president of Villa Vittoria Cultura. The author Francesco Tundo and Pasquale Stellacci will be speaking.
Francesco Tundo is full professor of tax law at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. His most important works concern constitutional tax law (Contribution to the study of the tax autonomy of municipalities, 2002), checks and balances in the relationship between tax authorities and citizens (The participation of the taxpayer in tax audits, 2012), and the rights and defense of the taxpayer (Tax procedure and defense of the taxpayer, 2013).
In “The tax reform. The Matteotti method”, the author describes how with technical competence and political depth, seeking a main road towards fairness and equality, Giacomo Matteotti dedicates particular attention to the tax issue, for a proposal of tax reform that affects reality, transforming and improving it. A very modern method, still applicable today.
