Filt Cgil has called a Strike by workers of the Tie transport company (European Intermodal Transport), which is based in Reggio Emilia and specializes in container transport. Stefano Bettalli, general secretary of Filt of La Spezia, declared to the newspaper Città di La Spezia – which reported the strike – that since December the company has been in a situation of “objective difficulty” and that the workers have not received payments of the fourteenth and May wages. He adds that the company has said it wants to pay, so if “it makes the transfers the employees will return to work”. Bettalli added that “however, it is necessary to convene a national table to manage the crisis, and it seems that the convocation of a table in Alessandria, one of the company’s largest offices, is already planned.

In September 2022, Tie obtained a six million euro financing by Invitalia “to deal with post-pandemic critical issues and relaunch the business”. On that occasion, the company’s top management declared that “Invitalia’s intervention has allowed us, among other things, to purchase latest generation vehicles, with less environmental impact and above all it has allowed us to deal with a series of intrinsic critical issues and atavistic of the transport sector”, as reported by a note from Invitalia.

A few months earlier, on April 22, 2022, the announcement was made Death of the founder and sole director of Tie, Francesco Bisaschi. At that time, the Emilian company managed a fleet of 230 industrial vehicles and had approximately 250 employees. Today, in addition to the headquarters in Reggio Emilia, Tie operates in branches in La Spezia and Pozzolo Formigaro (Alessandria), where it also manages a container terminal.
