Tomorrow, Tuesday 2 July, the Siena Palio 2024first career of the season (the second will be staged on August 16) dedicated to the Madonna of Provenzano. Great anticipation for the historic event scheduled as per tradition in Piazza del Campo, with ten districts vying for victory in a race that always guarantees entertainment.
The following districts are taking part on this occasion: Bruco, Civetta, Giraffa, Leocorno, Lupa, Nicchio, Pantera, Onda, Oca and Valdimontone. The spotlight is on jockey Giovanni Atzeni (known as Tittìa), who will try to lead the Oca to triumph by chasing the eleventh personal seal of his career after having collected five consecutive victories before his defeat in the last Palio dell’Assunta 2023.
