“This morning the Rap workers carried out the clearing and cleaning of the Vergine Maria beach which for a month and a half had been invaded by several bags of waste abandoned by citizens”. The announcement was made by group leader of Forza Italia in the VII District, Ferdinando Cusimano. “I thank the Councilor for the Environment Pietro Alongi for having implemented this extraordinary intervention. The hope is that citizens with little civic sense do not return to dirty the beach and that controls are strengthened. Every year in Vergine Maria and Arenella, both at the beginning of the season and on the day of Ferragosto, this situation of degradation occurs. The seaside villages of Palermo deserve more attention. I think that the beaches of Palermo should be entrusted to neighborhood associations to keep them clean and deliver deckchairs and umbrellas to people. I also thank the managers and employees of Rap who carried out the intervention”.
“Finally…..After several vicissitudes, interventions, emails, press releases we managed to have the Vergine Maria beach cleaned which had been full of waste for several weeks”he claims Salvo D’Asta councilor of Forza Italia in the VII District. “With a collaborative effort between me, councilor Alongi and the honorable Tamayo we have solved a serious problem that not only spills over every year into this splendid beach but that was creating many health and hygiene problems. This means that the Forza Italia group is growing significantly and that with good will the results arrive”.
Fight against the uncivilized: “I conclude by once again criticizing the citizens who litter – says D’Asta – and who do not want to improve the quality of life of this splendid city and I make an appeal: be more civilized because in this context you leave an entire village in disarray.
