Last night, personnel from the Flying Section of this UPGSP intervened in via Enrico Fermi n. 5 following a report by a user of suspicious individuals who damaged one of the access doors of the CREDIT AGRICOLE Credit Institute.

The Flying Squad, after having carried out an initial inspection, collected and examined the first testimonies on the basis of which it was not excluded that the criminals, after having made a hole in a wall in the basement that accesses the underground parking of the building, were still inside. Therefore, the Vicenza Police Headquarters activated the protocol that provides for the use of highly specialized units of the State Police.

In a few minutes, two teams from the EMERGENCY OPERATIONAL UNITS arrived on site supported by four crews from the Vicenza Flying Section, two from the Flying Squad, three crews from the Padua Crime Prevention Department and two operators from the Scientific Police. Crews from the Carabinieri Radiomobile Unit, the SETAF Command, the Fire Brigade and the 118 team contributed to strengthening the device, made up of around 50 operators.

The Local Police took steps to manage the traffic flow interrupted by the State Police during the clean-up operations of the building.

The UPGSP Manager took on the role of operational manager and, at the end of a briefing with the staff present, broke into the building for the clean-up operations which ended after about an hour and a half.

No shortages were recorded at the Agency in via Fermi, but only damage to an internal wall of the premises through which the criminals wanted to access the ATM cash registers.

Investigative checks are underway by the Vicenza Flying Squad.
