PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – Sicilbanca, a cooperative credit bank of the Cassa Centrale Group, has inaugurated its first branch in Palermo, dedicated to the eclectic Palermo artist “Gino Morici”. With this opening, the BCC reaches the milestone of 22 operational branches in Sicily, supported by 102 employees and a membership base of 4,000 members.
The inauguration ceremony was held today in the new offices located in viale Lazio number 9. The ribbon cutting saw the participation of the President of Sicilbanca Giuseppe Di Forti, the Director Michele Augello and the CEO of the Cassa Centrale Group Sandro Bolognesi.
“The Palermo community will now have cutting-edge financial products available from a bank deeply rooted in the area that, in line with the values of the Credito Cooperativo, places people and community service at the center of its activities,” reads a note.
The “Gino Morici” branch is spread over an area of 215 square meters on a single level, with seven windows. The spaces, designed to be contemporary and functional, reflect the bank’s commitment to cultural marketing, enhancing art and literature.
Starting from Monday, the Palermo office of BCC Sicilbanca, managed by the head Alessandro Cosentino, will already be operational, with an open day dedicated to the 600 Palermo members and potential customers.
The Palermo office stands out for the integration of culture, environment and health in its structure and activities.
Culture
The branch hosts the Sgadari collection, an exclusive selection of drawings in anastatic copy signed by Gino Morici. Outside, a corner called “Art Space” has been created, an expression of the concept of in&out art. This area, always open, offers a relaxing place for reading, thanks to a booksharing box positioned at the entrance to the bank. A latest-generation LED screen broadcasts works of art and sequences daily, recounting the beauty of the Island and its artists, thus creating a small open-air museum accessible to all. In addition, the sculpture “Hidalgo con lilium”, a tribute to Santa Rosalia, will soon be completed and will be positioned to the side of the bank entrance.
Environment
“The new headquarters is a clear model of environmental sustainability and energy saving. Through the BCC Energia Consortium, the structure facilitates the energy transition, with the aim not only of reducing energy costs, but also of consuming less and increasing the share of energy from renewable sources. This is 100% green energy”, highlights the note from the bank.
Great attention has been given to the health and well-being of the community, with the installation of life-saving devices outside the premises.
“With this new branch, Sicilbanca continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting and developing the social, cultural and economic fabric of Sicily, consolidating its presence and its cooperative values in the territory,” concludes the note.
