After the choice of the Academic Senate of the University of Bergamo to suspend the proclamations of the three-year degrees to avoid the celebrations, we are starting to perceive a certain intolerance towards excesses even in high schools with regards to the completion of final exams.

A teacher reported this in a letter just published and a very clear notice also appeared on the columns of the Paolo Sarpi classical high school in Piazza Rosate.

The invitation

On the A4 sheet stuck with scotch tape, in capital letters, it reads: “Students are invited not to celebrate the end of exams inside the high school portico and in the area in front of it to avoid defacing the architectural elements as well as the parked cars.” The problem is not so much dictated by the classic sparkling wine, but rather by the confetti, which then have to be cleaned up, and above all by the flour.

Eggs and tomatoes

The deputy head teacher Professor Arturo Morettiinterviewed by Courier Bergamo, he added: «Eggs and tomatoes are also thrown in». The teacher then also refers to the neighbors, or to the presence in the same square of the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the University, where the ban is now law.
