There were a total of 56 tax evaders found by the Fiamme Gialle in 2023 and in the first five months of 2024, in Basilicata, a phenomenon characterized by the proliferation of false invoicing and excise duty evasion.
This is one of the data released by the regional commander of the Lucanian Financial Police, General Roberto Pennoni, together with the two provincial commanders of Potenza and Matera, Colonels Michele Onorato and Roberto Maniscalco during a press conference which took place in Potenza.
3726 inspections and 1264 investigations to combat economic and financial crimes, 82 subjects reported for tax crimes, non-existent tax credits for over one million six hundred thousand euros.
With reference to the PNRR, 161 interventions were carried out as well as actions to verify the correct execution of public works and contracts for over two million euros.
With regard to the fight against organized crime, in application of the anti-mafia legislation, 128 individuals were subjected to asset checks, and the value of the various assets seized amounts to 14.5 million.
