Guardia di Finanza celebrates in Varese: the gardens of Piazza Repubblica are named after them

VARESE – Double party for Financial Police in Varese. A few days before June 21st, the official date of the 250th anniversary, the provincial command celebrated two events in one: the usual body party and the dedication to the Fiamme Gialle d’Italia dei gardens of Piazza Repubblica.

This was followed by the intervention of the provincial commander of the Varese Financial Police Crescenzo Sciaraffa. “Two and a half centuries in which the Fiamme Gialle have always been able to evolve,” he said, then recalling the role of the Guardia di Finanza after 8 September 1943 in Varese which allowed hundreds of human lives to be saved. He then spoke about the fight against economic and financial fraud and the importance of preventive activities. Then the awarding of some soldiers awarded and the reading of the financier’s prayer.

The naming of the gardens

The ceremony began around 11.30am.naming of the green area of Piazza Repubblica with the name of “Giardini Fiamme Gialle d’Italia”.
