Florence, 26 June 2024 – Many events in Tuscany with the festivals, a tradition particularly rooted in the region, and the arrival of summer multiplies the events. Here is a rich selection: for reports write to [email protected]

AREZZO

At the sports field Tegoleto, a hamlet of Civitella, traditional (51st edition) Festa al Tegoleto until 7 July. Typical specialties in the evening for dinner from 7pm. There is no shortage of music, dancing, amusement park.

Round figure (30th edition) for the Chianina steak festival Sestino. From Friday to Sunday, open from 7pm on Friday, then from 12pm on Saturday and Sunday.

FLORENCE

The fried courgette flower festival will liven up San Michele a Torri, a hamlet of Scandicci, Saturday and Sunday at the Uisp club. Open from 5.30pm.

The Feast of the Patron Saints of San Piero a Ponti it continues until Wednesday 3 July with the 50th edition. Stand at Circolo Mcl Il Gorinello, in the evening from 8pm. Reservations required on 055.8999717.

Traditional pussy party a Malmantile, a hamlet of Lastra a Signa: open from Thursday to Sunday from 7pm, then on Monday 1 July the grand finale with the village fair and fireworks. Thursday and Friday cold cuts and first courses, Saturday and Sunday dinner with choice of menu and grilled meat.

From Friday 28th to Sunday 30th (and again from 5th to 7th July) a Pelago The Pelago tortello festival is back. Appointment at the La Pira pastoral center in via Vallombrosana 4, dinner from 7pm.

TO Reggello the hamlet of Cascia hosts the traditional porcini mushroom festival until June 30th, now in its 51st edition. Stands open from 7.30pm, on holidays also for lunch from 12.30pm. There is no shortage of games and music, particularly on the closing day with the Fierone di San Pietro open all day and fireworks at midnight.

Traditional snail festival (46th edition) a Win, at Parco dei Mille in the hamlet of Spicchio, until June 30th. Open for dinner, there is no shortage of music and dancing.

From Thursday to Sunday (and from 4 to 7 July) a Montelupo Fiorentino the pizza and fresh pasta festival is held at the summer arena in Piazzale dei Continenti. There is no shortage of music.

Fish festival a Cerreto Guidi, at the Tamburello sports field in Bassa, from Thursday to Sunday until 14 July. It is the 50th edition. Dinner starts at 7.30pm. Reservations for groups of at least 6 people on 389.6042044. Followed by dancing with live music.

We are halfway through the Scorzone truffle festival Montespertoli, which returns Friday through Sunday after debuting last week and will also return July 5-7. Appointment at the Urban Park on Via Volterrana Nord. Open for dinner, and also for lunch on Sundays.

Still in Montespertoli, but in the hamlet of San Pancrazio Val di Pesa, the brioche and ice cream festival is held from Friday to Sunday and again from 5 to 7 July. Meet at the San Pancrazio sports field in the evening from 7pm; reservations required for the restaurant on 334.2220688 (from 6pm to 9pm). Live music follows.

GROSSETO

Sagra Maremmana a Orbetello Scalofrom Thursday 27 June to Wednesday 3 July at the sports field, open for dinner from 7.30pm.

Saturday and Sunday (and again on 6-7 July) festival of strozzapreti and typical Maremma products in Sticciano Scalofraction of Roccastradain the new multipurpose structure in via Vecchia 12. Open from 7.30pm, followed by music.

The Maremma tortello festival is unmissable (this is the 52nd edition). Monterotondo Marittimo which is held from Friday to Sunday with stands opening from 7pm (but there is an aperitif from 6.30pm) and live music to follow. Appointment at the chestnut track.

LIVORNO

From Thursday to Sunday the Sughere park Donoratico hosts the festival of typical Tuscan flavours, including good food, music and even a vintage space (starting from Friday).

LUCCA

Every Saturday and Sunday until July 28th Massa Macinaia space for the porcini mushroom festival with polenta. We have dinner from 7.30pm, then we dance.

On Saturday and Sunday from 29th June to 28th July the Zuppa alla Frantoiana festival will take place in Segromigno in Piano, at the Paoli sports field in via dei Bocchi. Open from 7pm. There’s no shortage of dancing.

Saturdays and Sundays until July 7th Paganica hamlet of Capannori, space for the tagliarino festival (typical pasta served especially with beans). Open for dinner, followed by dancing. Reservations at 353.4564097.

The grilled meat festival is held at the La Sibolla restaurant in Corte Cagnero-Ponte alla Ciliegia, a hamlet of Altopascio, until June 30th. There is no shortage of space for children and music.

Tordello festival in Stazzemain the hamlet of Retignano, from Friday to Sunday and again from 5 to 7 July. Open from 7 pm.

MASSA-CARRARA

Polenta and focaccette festival a Barbarascoa hamlet of Tresana, from Friday to Sunday at the Parco della Fiera open for dinner and on Sunday also for lunch.

PISA

Tortello, shin and craft beer are at the center of the festival which is held from Thursday to Sunday Agnano Pisano, a hamlet of San Giuliano Terme. Dinner starts at 7pm at the Arci La Pergola club in via XXV Aprile.

From Friday to Sunday at Buti the stringozzo festival is held in Cinta Senese, in Parco Danielli, open for dinner.

At the festival space of Farmhouses of Buti from Friday to Sunday and then from 6 to 7 July the frog and soup festival is held, open for dinner from 7pm. Ballroom dancing is a must.

Saturday and Sunday at the sports field Bientina last two days for the Sombrero Festival (which is not a Mexican festival, but a festival that has first courses at its center and in particular the sombrero, a pasta filled with ricotta and spinach). Dinner starts at 8pm.

Always at Bientina, but at the Quattro Strade, the Feast of the steak and the friar is held: an appointment from Friday to Sunday with the last three days of the festival at the Sughere park. The stand at the “Il Risorgimento” club will be open from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm. There is no shortage of music and dancing.

At the party space of Orentano The 40th pizza and netted melon festival continues until July 7th. There is no shortage of music and dancing. Open from Friday to Sunday.

Every Saturday until July 27th (then grand finale on August 3rd and 4th) Villa Campanile, a hamlet of Castelfranco di Sotto, hosts the “Farmer’s Festival – Genuine Appetizer”, open from 7.30 pm with wood-fired pizzas, cecina, barbecue, French fries and desserts. It is held at the church of Villa Campanile in the Quercione area.

PISTOIA

The DOP Tuscan Bread Festival continues until June 30th Village in Buggianoopen from 7pm (music follows) at the Colombai park in Villa Ankuri, entrance from via Falciano.

LAWN

Until July 7th at the parish of San Giorgio in Colonica a Lawn the “Festabella”, a sheep and pizza festival, is held from Thursday to Sunday from 7.30 pm. This is followed by musical shows, karaoke, quizzes and entertainment even for the little ones.

On July 1st “Walking with the Oste” returns, an eagerly awaited food and wine event in Oste di Montemurlo from 8pm to 1am in the streets of the town with food, music, dancing and shops open.

SIENA

Bico (wood-fired bread) is the protagonist of the festival in Piazze, a hamlet of Cetona, from Friday to Sunday and again from July 4 to 7. Music follows.

Saturday and Sunday last two days with the misery festival of Colle Val d’Elsa. Appointment in the Santa Caterina neighborhood in the evening from 7.30 pm; on the menu the typical dishes of poor peasant cuisine.
