Great anticipation for the first concert of the eighth edition of Festiv’Alba

As per the tradition of the festival, on St. Peter’s Day it will be the splendid medieval church of San Pietro in Alba Fucens to host the first concert, which will be held by‘Arianna Art Ensemble of Palermo, among the most famous and appreciated Italian baroque music groups on the international scene. The program, entitled THE LANDS OF ULYSSESis composed of traditional popular music from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

The music, preceded by the verses ofOdyssey recited by the singer, refer to geographical areas of the Mediterranean (Thrace, Greece, North Africa, Sicily and its islands, Sardinia, Italy, Iberian peninsula) and are the result of a sound and expressive musicological research that develops through a path that combines songs and ancient European instruments to traditional instruments of other Mediterranean cultures. This harmonious mix is a metaphor for cultural integration, in the sign of peace between peoples.

The key to understanding all these sister cultures, in their diversity, communicated through water, is that music unites, it is therapeutic for this completely modern, unhealthy disease that is war. A harmonious mix that is a metaphor for cultural integration, in the sign of peace between peoples.
