Thursday 4 July at 9.30 pm, in the splendid setting of the Giardini della Rocca di Bertinoro, the singer-songwriter, poet, writer and phantasmagorical entertainer Vinicio Capossela with his Urgent songs with band will kick off the ninth edition of Entroterre Festival, a widespread event conceived and organized by Fondazione Entroterre, with the artistic direction of Luca Damiani. With a program of over 100 events, the 2024 programming of Entroterre Festival continues until August 31st, extending its range of action to three regions: Emilia-Romagna, from the province of Piacenza, passing through the Metropolitan City of Bologna, and for the provinces of Reggio Emilia, with the reopening of the Arena Bosco dell’Impero of Canossa, Modena, Forlì Cesena, Ferrara up to – for the first time – the municipalities of the Savio Valley, but also Tuscany, where these the provinces of Grosseto, Siena, Lucca and Lazio this year, thanks to the co-planning carried out with six municipalities of the metropolitan city of Rome. On the bill, great voices from the national and international pop scene such as – in addition to Capossela – Goran Bregović and The Wedding & Funeral Band (16.07), Daniele Silvestri (31.08), Alex Britti (25.07), Bandabardò & Cisco (02.08), again in Bertinoro; the most famous jazz musicians such as Paolo Fresu and his Devil Quartet, Carlo Maver, Carlo Negroni, Ernesto Bassignano in Canossa, but also the young talent of Francesco Cavestri in trio, together with the most famous faces of the show, lent to music, with the return by Neri Marcoré as a singer-songwriter; at Mercato Saraceno in the Savio Valley, the premiere of the show Telling Vivaldi with Lucia Mascino and the Orchestra della Toscana and the return to Alex Britti’s Entroterre Festival, in the magical setting of the roofless Abbey of San Galgano in Chiusdino, near Siena. “This year too, Entroterre Festival offers a summer full of concerts and events in the most spectacular locations in the internal territories of Central Italy, precious and unique places, enhanced thanks to careful cultural planning and co-planning work, carried out in collaboration with our partners in three key regions of the foundation’s activity: Emilia-Romagna – which since the foundation’s birth has played the pioneering role of a laboratory for testing our organizational models – Tuscany and Lazio”, explains the President Claudio Borgianni.
