“The new council will be made up of people from Aversa with great skills and professionalism”. This is the declaration of the new mayor Francesco Matacena. For a month, i.e. before the proclamation of the councilors and the installation of the new council (the time necessary for the electoral commission to proceed with the control of the minutes before the proclamation of the councillors) the new mayor will govern alone and will have plenty of time to decide who appoint within the executive.
Based on the first immediate declarations, he could appoint a technical council. If, however, politics prevails, there will be no shortage of sore points. The regional councilor Giovanni Zannini, in fact, will be able to count on a quarter of the entire council with 5 councilors from Aversa Moderata and 3 from Noi Aversani and will be able to make the good and bad weather of the administration.
First of all there is Giovanni Innocenti who, as a record holder of preferences, would have chosen the position of president of the municipal council and then aspired to be present in the provincial council. Ready to remind everyone of the pre-election pact is Alfonso Oliva who abandoned Fratelli d’Italia to embrace the coalition of the president of the Order of Accountants and for this reason he obtained the promise of deputy mayor. Also ready to claim a place on the board are Gianpaolo Dello Vicario (Aversa Azzurra), Nicola De Chiara, Francesco di Palma (Immagina Aversa), Paolo Santulli and Marika De Angelis (Noi Aversani), Olga Diana and Salvatore Della Vecchia (Aversa Moderata) and Imma Dello Iacono (The center for Aversa). And already the numbers don’t add up.
The members of the Noi Aversani group, by virtue of the result achieved, would request two councilors just as the mayor would intend to appoint at least one member of the executive he trusts (the names circulating are that of Mariano D’Amore or Genny Ciaramella with delegation to the Budget and Michele Ronza, former deputy mayor of Enrico de Cristofaro, to Public Works). The numbers, therefore, do not add up even considering that the council is made up of 7 councilors with the gender alternation (man/woman) of 4 and 3.
